12U A Goes Back to Back

The 12U A team was on a six-game winning streak as they entered into the CanAM tournament in November. And the wins just kept on coming. With a 3-1 win against the Las Vegas Warriors, and a huge last-minute goal by Nevel Flickinger against the Alaska Blue Devils to seal a 4-3 victory, the boys finished the round robin play with a tie against the Ogden Jr Mustangs. 

The pressure was on as they faced off against the Ogden Jr Mustangs in the championship. With the game going back and forth, and leads changing multiple times, this game would turn into a nail bitter. Luckily, with about 8 minutes left in the third, the Dawgs took a 4-3 lead with a goal from Shawn Roberts. With the game close, and Ogden knocking on the door, the Dawgs locked it down by playing stellar defense in an unreal and electric ending. With a big time play from Brantley Aizpitarte, he netted the empty netter with 18 seconds left to seal the 5-3 win and championship for the team.
