First One of the Year

With the start to the new season, and many new faces representing the 12U team this year, they kicked things off to a hot start in their first tournament. Having a perfect 3 and 0 record through the round robin, the team found themselves in a heated game against Provo for the championship. 

They came out to a hot start with a 3-1 lead in the first. They padded two more goals to have a 5-1 lead, but Provo came back and popped in two quick ones before the end of the second. With a 5-3 score, the third period would push both teams to the limit in a close battle. After netting one more and taking a 6-3 lead, one would think that would seal the deal. But Provo fought hard and managed to score twice more to bring the score within one. With roughly 5 minutes left in the game, the Dawgs played a man down for the remainder of the game and battled it out to the last second where they would seal the championship victory 6-5. Big shoutout to goaltender Oskar Seliger for an outstanding performance!
